SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY… and above all else, SAFETY.
– Alexander Graham Bell, 1906.
SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY
Not only from the obvious maintenance standpoint, but also from a pilot’s view, safety is our FIRST priority. And so before every flight, maintenance and pilots perform a preflight check and after every flight, maintenance and pilots perform a post flight check. Tavaero Jet Charter’s unblemished safety record is a result of years of experience and the ability to hire experienced personnel. We believe strongly in a system of checks and balances. Independent aviation auditors are hired annually to assure we have not overlooked any details that would compromise our perfect safety record.
The Captain of your flight is ultimately responsible for the safety and security of everyone on board. From the time the engines spool up for departure until they are shut down upon arrival, his/her command authority not only ensures a safe, comfortable flight, but is also mandated by the FAA…hence the name Pilot in Command. All pilots attend simulator-based training at FlightSafety International and/or CAE Simuflite on full-service contracts to not only sharpen their skills to handle any foreseeable emergency situation, but also to keep abreast of new technologies, techniques and any recent concerns involving the particular aircraft type.
EVERY PRE-FLIGHT CHECK GO BEYOND THE COCKPIT
Thorough pre-flights checks are performed not only on the aircraft, but also to determine weather conditions and forecasts, arrival airport status and information, recent changes to route structures and the like. Accurate weight and balance computations are made for each flight to assure the aircraft will perform as needed. Checklists are used during all phases of flight…from start-up, to take-off, climb, cruise, descent and shutdown. In addition, all charter flights are initiated with a “passenger briefing” conducted by crew members to familiarize our passengers with details of the aircraft, it’s emergency exits and the like. Aircraft-specific reference safety cards are strategically located aboard all aircraft for each available passenger seat.
WE KEEP OUR FLEET IN “FLIGHT READY” CONDITION
Tavaero’s maintenance shop exists to support its charter and managed fleet of aircraft. Our goal is to keep our fleet in “flight ready” condition at all times. Under supervision of our Director of Maintenance are the following personnel:
The Chief Inspector has the responsibility of overseeing and ultimately approving all maintenance works completed on each aircraft.
RECORDS AND RESEARCH INSPECTOR
This person reviews the aircraft maintenance status from a current and future-projection standpoint on a daily basis and coordinates maintenance scheduling with the dispatch and parts procurement personnel to optimize the availability of the aircraft for charter usage.
FULL TIME FAA LICENCES AIRFRAME AND POWER PLANT MECHANICS
These mechanics report to the Chief Inspector/Director of maintenance and carry out the daily maintenance requirements of each aircraft.
FULL TIME MAKE READY AIRCRAFT CLEANER
Cleans each aircraft thoroughly after and before each flight and makes sure aircraft stocked with snacks/drinks and other onboard customer amenities.
We not only comply with the strict requirements of the mandated Federal Aviation Maintenance regulations, we exceed them.
Should you have any questions regarding our safety record or procedures, please ask one of our pilots, contact us via phone/fax or feel free to contact the local FAA Flight Standards District Office and they’ll be happy to assist you.
